Christopher Li is the CEO and co-founder at BioBox. During his PhD training at SickKids hospital and the University of Toronto, Chris discovered his love for computer science, molecular genetics and bioinformatics in his study of transcriptional circuits in pediatric central nervous system tumors. Experiencing first-hand how data fragmentation and the lack of digital tools can cripple research progress, he set out to find like-minded colleagues to embark on a new adventure, building a unified framework for organizing and indexing all biological knowledge into a singular resource.
Today, Chris combines his experience in entrepreneurship, data science, and bioinformatics, to lead the BioBox team on their relentless pursuit to get the BioBox platform in the hands of every scientists and help them push the boundaries of scientific research.
